Background
When I was working at repair shops like dealer service shops or independent shops, I could encounter customers who ended up declining repair work not because he/she didn’t like to get the work done by the shop but because of affordability, and it was a crying shame to me as I knew the vehicles’ condition would directly affect safety driving issues that might bring about a dangerous situation not only for him/herself but their family too. Also, I’ve seen people who just don’t drive for a period of time until becoming affordable for the repair, which I don’t think is right for them to live a normal life especially in the winter.
The Charity Repair program;
- is a free-repair-service program that Trusty Auto Service provides for the selected unfortunate neighbors.
- covers up to $1000* of repair costs including parts and labour on any repairs which are connected to safety issues such as worn-out brakes, excessively loose ball joints and excessive liquid leaks, severe engine misfire, and so on, and the final decision whether or not the repair is eligible for will be made after performing necessary inspection or diagnosis by the shop and reviewing your application.
- is funded by the shop’s budget and donations from people, and so on.
a
* The shop’s monthly budget for Charity Repair program is $1000, and the basic rule for maximum coverage per person is $500. However, it can reach up to $1000 if there is only one beneficiary in the month. Also, the more donations the shop gets on top of the budget, the higher the basic coverage will be made.
